July 10.- This week has been even better with 6 new students for the Centro SOL Youth Summer Program. El “Programa para Jóvenes de Centro SOL” has outstanding bilingual students to expose them to professional experiences in a medical and professional interpretation settings.
In less than two weeks since the first students started, they have visited Geriatrics Department at Johns Hopkins Bayview, met with the research team at the Tuberculisis Lab Center, learned and taught about Social Determinants of Health, visited the Simulation Center at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, learned what the Non-invasive DaVinci machine – MISTIC Center does, practice some rules of Español, and plan their research presentations. We cannot wait to start reading their thoughts about all these experiences, and seeing them pursue their dreams!
